Scene Study with Peter Hajduk is designed for actors with some on-stage experience who wish to improve and refine their talents in a scene study environment through the examination of character relationships and motivation.
Students are expected to prepare and perform a short scene or monologue each week for exploration and evaluation with an emphasis on acting techniques to best achieve the actor’s vision of the character being portrayed and how that vision can work to get the most of any given scene. Audition techniques will also be covered.
Peter Hajduk is no stranger to regional theater, getting his start as a stage manager for his home town theater, the Studio Arena Theater in Buffalo, NY. From there he went on to work in many regional theaters across the country. In New York City he worked as a scene study director for casting director Michael Shurtleff’s Corner Loft; directed several productions for the National Arts Club; consulted for the Off-Off Broadway Alliance; and was a performance auditor for the New York State Council of the Arts.
