CVRep will wind up its Summer Jazz Series with jazz bassist/composer/vocalist Jennifer Leitham. A career Jazz musician for over 40 years, Ms. Leitham has shared the stage with many renowned performers including Mel Torme’, Peggy Lee, George Shearing, Woody Herman, Benny Carter, Louis Bellson, Doc Severinsen, k.d. lang and many others. As of now she has played on over 125 albums, including 10 albums of her own.
The Jennifer Leitham Trio will be playing a different show each night.
- On opening night, Thursday, August 25, the emphasis will be on material from “Left Coast Story”, including the suite from “West Side Story”.
- On August 26th, they’ll be playing material from her latest, “MOOD(S)WINGS”, as well as a few (edited into non holiday), selections from “Future Christmas”.
- On August 27th, they’ll be playing music that was featured in “I Stand Corrected”, mostly music from Leitham’s greatest hit album “The Real Me”.
