CVRep is one of the only Actor’s Equity Association theatres in the Valley that can offer a professional learning experience to young professionals. Internship participants will be assigned projects and responsibilities that contribute to the day-to-day running of the company both in the administrative offices and the production teams.

PART TIME  / SEASONAL POSITIONS

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Coachella Valley Repertory (CVRep) Administrative Assistant is broadly responsible for maintaining positive communications with CVRep Donors, Sponsors and Supporters; assisting with the planning and execution of fundraising events; assisting Executive Artistic Director, Managing Director and CFO with administrative needs as assigned. Experience in Customer Service, event planning and preparation and knowledge and proficiency in using Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and Outlook a must. Pay based on experience, and starts at $20 / hour. Hours may vary depending on event schedule, but are typically 30-35 hours / week.

SCENIC CARPENTER

Coachella Valley Repertory (CVRep) is seeking a part-time Scenic Carpenter for its 2023-2024 season. The Scenic Carpenter would work closely with Directors, Scenic Designers, and technical staff to build, install and tear-down various sets and scenic elements for five main stage productions, and various events through spring. Pay based on experience, and starts at $19 / hr. Hours vary depending on production schedule, and may include weekends and evenings. Position begins end of September and runs through mid-April 2023.

PAID INTERNSHIPS

(All current students currently registered in high school or college are welcome to apply. All Paid Internships start at $16 / hour. Hours can be scheduled to accommodate class schedules.)

SCENIC INTERNSHIP

Scenic, technical and lighting / audio interns would be learning hands-on skills in carpentry, lighting and electrical design, and professional sound production.  Interns would be assisting their department heads with the specific technical needs of CVRep’s upcoming productions, and coordinating the needs of designers and designs on stage and off.

BOX OFFICE INTERNSHIP

Our Box Office Interns learn the inner-workings of the theatre Box Office. Interns will help prepare tickets for performance, interact with patrons, and assist the Box Office Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Box Office.

COSTUME INTERNSHIP

Costume interns would be learning hands-on skills in costume construction, design and creation, as well as general day-to-day operations of the stage production team and costume design crew. By the end of the CVRep internship, the interns will have developed skills that would make them an asset to any arts marketing department, with real-world experience in marketing material approval processes, digital administration, basic visual design and navigating the ins and outs of a busy professional theatre. 

SOCIAL MEDIA / MARKETING INTERN

Are you looking to make the transition from perfecting your personal social media account (for free) to creating and maintaining social media campaigns for a professional arts company? Coachella Valley Repertory is seeking a Social Media / Marketing Intern for the duration of their 2024-2025 season. The selected candidate will work alongside the Managing Director creating social media marketing campaigns to promote the season, individual shows and special events. Build your portfolio while learning how to create campaigns from scratch, translate marketing metrics, and more – all in a creative, artistic environment. Hours are varied and flexible to work around school schedules.
