In Memoriam: Mike Monachino

Mike and Barbara have been longtime good friends to many of us.  Mike was incredibly generous with his time and financial support for CVRep for many years.  As many of you know, he spent a year of his life overseeing every detail of engineering, planning and redeveloping of our new playhouse.  He was an engineer by training and was gifted with many business, technical and artistic skills.

 

Mike gave very generous amounts of  his time, energy and caring as CVRep’s most recent past President of the Board.  He helped CVRep navigate the existential shutdown of all live performance venues during COVID.  And he allowed CVRep to emerge and begin its new chapters as it now begins to thrive and shine again.

 

CVRep and our entire community are indebted to Mike in so many ways for all the good he continued to do until just these last couple of months.

 

We are heartbroken, along with all of you, at this enormous loss.

 

Our love and gratitude go out to Barbara and the entire Monachino family.

 

And with the family’s approval and participation, CVRep hopes to celebrate Mike with a special tribute at the CVRep theatre in the coming year.
