Robert Johanson, Barbara Kerr and Kurt Jordan return to CV Rep after their memorable 2022 tribute show: Thank You Mr. Sondheim. This time, they are celebrating another great talent of the theatre: Sir Noel Coward. Joining them are two exceptional artists – Wayne Bryan and Glory Crampton – in a sparkling evening celebrating “The Master.”
Tackling the nature of good and evil, Hand to God is a metaphor for getting to the crux of matters.
I cannot express the “experience-ness” (not a word, but I’m using it) of this production enough. It is 100% a must-see piece of theater that rivals anything at The McCallum (with no offense meant to the McCallum). Karsten is taking CVRep to new heights, and this is one thrill ride I’m happy to be on.

I have had the pleasure of reviewing some impressive shows in the desert over the years, particularly at CVRep, so believe me when I say: This production of Once is the most moving, innovative fusion of acting, singing, dancing and instrumental music I have ever seen.
It’s as if the Los Angeles Philharmonic suddenly transformed into the energetic cast of “Fame” with Irish brogues and Czech accents.
